This beautiful panel features two brightly colored fish in the ocean among sea plants and reeds, on a blue background (actual panels that I currently have are more vibrant than photo). Each batik panel is an individual piece of art, so colors may vary slightly from piece to piece. You can use these panels in your quilts, clothing and textile art projects. The art of Batik is the process of waxing and dying cloth. Hand drawn batiks, called tulis batiks, are examples of the finest batik work. Batik originated centuries ago in the countries of Malaysia and Indonesia, where small villages today still keep their ancient art alive. The batiks are made in Javanese villages and supports the local artists directly.
