Since I have severe arthritis in my hands, I have not been able to knit with conventional knitting needles for quite some time (20 years). When I found this knitting board, I was skeptical at first, and did not want to make a big investment. This board was surprisingly easy to use, and the instructional DVD is excellent. The scarf I made was about 6-6 1/2 inches wide with a more than adequate length. I liked the yarn so much that I called the company and asked for more yarn without the knitting board, and they are sending me the other colors (I originally got the neutral color) to make more scarves. This is fun to do, and I threw it in my purse and knitting while waiting at a doctor's office--and all the ladies there wanted to know what I was doing. It was great! Almost had an impromptu knitting club! YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS PURCHASE! Makes a scarf fairly quickly, it took me a couple of days--far less than knitting the conventional way--just knitting to relax in the evening. Great purchase, and the company (Authentic Knitting Board) could not have been nicer!!

I love this kit. The board is just the right size and the DVD explains how to do a basic scarf. I've ordered two more boards from the company so I can work on several projects at the same time.

I found this an easy-to-learn product, HOWEVER - the picture (at a quick glance) makes it appear that you are getting 3 different colors of yarn. You only get one color and have no choice in the color (I got pink). Easy to learn, but 3*s for the misleading picture.

I put this item on my wishlist for christmas in my attempt to find a new hobby and was glad to get it. Was very easy to follow the dvd instructions and do this project. I now have gone out and purchased both long rectangular and circular loom sets and tons of yarn for my new interest. Only complaint is that the picture can be misleading a bit, it obviously doesnt come with all three color choices and it also doesnt give you the option to choose which you want, I received the blah gray one. But really not a big deal if you're getting this to try the loom/knitting board out to see if you like it and of course you can always go out and buy more yarn in a color that you like since it is reusable. Overall, would recommend it or gift it to someone who was interested in the idea of knitting boards

I've never knitted before so thought this might be a fun way to get started before I learn how to do the real thing. It's super easy and the scarf is so cute. Going to make a lil one for my son and then buy some more yarn and make one for myself. Relaxing.
