5Knitter's Storage and Tote Bag HeavenAug 26, 2010
By L. Bernstein "Knitting is Gluten Free"
Please refer to the customer photos I've added to the product description page -- it will give you an wonderful view of just how versitile this bag can be and how much it can hold.

I purchased my red/brown Nantucket Bagg at Stitches Midwest, 2010. The minute I saw it, I knew I had to have one.

I usually have 4-6 projects going at one time, and I like to carry as many of them with me as possible, especially when I fly or take road trips.

My problem, though, was that I didn't have a way to carry everything together easily, so I'd wind up carrying multiple tote bags. I can't tell you how many times I'd leave the car with a project in hand, only to discover that my extra knitting tools were in a different bag . . . OR how many times I've had to search through bags only to find I left something I needed at home -- a knitter's nightmare.

Not any more. Now I can fit my tools, projects, books, notes, glasses, even snacks into one bag . . . grab and go.

Note: Inside, I can carry 3-4 smaller projects (things like socks, hats, gloves) or 1-2 larger projects (scarf) or 1 very large project that's grown to a good size (like a large shawl or afgan). And all my tools, etc., are right there for me, organized and easy to find.

As you'll see in my photos, you can use the bag in multiple ways:

Open it to create a tool shelf - having the ability to open it this way also makes it PERFECT for packing in a suitcase.

Zip it into a tote bag with all the tools on the outside.

Zip it into a tote bag with all the tools on the inside (this is my preferred way of using the bag).

It is up to you how you'll carry the bag: It converts to a tote, a roll, or backpack. So far, I've used mine as a tote. It carries comfortably in my hand or flung over the shoulder.

This is a bag that is made to last a lifetime. It was designed by a master carpenter and is double thick 600 denier Polyester Canvas. It has 30 pockets which could also be enlarged by removing a few stitches, if you like.

It is washable.

Since I've only had this bag for about a week, I'm still discovering new ways to use it. I just LOVE it and would recommend it to anyone.

4Awesome... Straps could be a little more durableDec 07, 2010
By M. Panzer
I got this for my mom as a birthday present. She really likes and it and it fits her needs for knitting. However, my only concern upon seeing it, was that the straps could be a little thicker and better in quality. The bag itself seems great, but the straps feel like they could be made with better quality materials.

5Excellent Product!Jul 08, 2011

This is the best organized bag I've ever had. Any knitter will LOVE this. Great quality material and tons of perfect sized pockets for needles and other knitting supplies.

4Great ProductJan 04, 2012

This is a very well made, well thought out product. It is sturdy as well as attractive. The size ensures maximum usability. Giving the user the option of having the pockets on the inside or the outside is a very nice touch. The only negative I have is that backpack straps were added to the product. This is unnecessary, cumbersome and just plan in the way. Otherwise, LOVE IT.

5Nice Handy Dandy Bag! Holds it all!Jan 01, 2012
By Tezza's Take
My hubby surprised me with this bag - in my favorite color as well! He went to a yarn store in our town and asked the lady for something unique to give as a gift. I must say that I've had the bag for a year and LOVE IT! It holds all my bits for knitting - sometimes in my haste I drop scissors or needles in the bag without putting in the proper place which means I need to unload the bag to find the wayward item. (all self inflicted though) Thus far I have not found any issues, concerns, or problems with the bag. I have it configured with the needle pockets on the inside - The posted pictures show the needles on the outside, I 'll give that a try to see if I like it as well.

I can find no fault on this bag. Love it and thank my hubby each time I pull it out.
