Great quilting frame for smaller piecesMay 06, 2011
By nancy This is exactly what I was looking for. My wall hanging is about 3 X 4 feet and I needed something to keep it off my lap but stretched in front of me. The only down side is that when too much of the quilt is on one side, it tends to slide that way.
But overall it works great! Good value for the price.

Just right for my needs!Sep 21, 2011
By Compltlyme Being new to hand quilting I did a lot of research to see what would be best for my needs. This fit the bill perfectly. It was easy to assemble and does the job. Shipping was prompt and was packaged to prevent any damage. It was also fairly priced. I am using it to do a twin size quilt and it handles great. I think it would handle any larger size project just fine.

quilting hoopMar 12, 2009

Love it - the only issue is the right side, the bolt that holds the base hoop on, comes lose frequently.
Other than that it has been a finger/hand saver.
Not sturdyJan 16, 2012

I paid considerably more for this stand from another vendor about three years ago. It is simply not sturdy for a lap sized or twin sized light quilt and have just had to give up on using the stand itself ... which makes for an extremely expensive quilting/embroidery hoop. Honestly, anything that is designed for us mostly female needle workers is far less sturdy and far more expensive than it would be if there were more males participating in this "hobby."
