Decent knitting needles for a decent priceFeb 07, 2010
I got the Denise needle set as a gift for Christmas and purchased the US 17 & 19 attachments. This is my first set of interchangeable needles, so I really don't have any point of comparison. I bought them because they seemed well regarded by many, were competively priced to other sets on the market, and they are manufactured in the USA.
I will say that the 17 & 19s needles are completely compatible with the kit, easy to set up & stay attached to the cords. On the downside, they can be a bit slippery (which is probably true of all plastic needles) they are a bit too short (which causes my hands to cramp up, and there are rough spots on the needles. The manufacturer is aware of this and recommends using very fine sandpaper or a nail file to smooth out the spots. The sanding out of the rough spots definitely helped and had the added benefit of making them a bit less slippery.
