5Excellent Needles!Oct 18, 2009
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE(!) these needles. I was on the fence to buy them or not and I'm SO glad I did. They are now the only needles I use for most all projects. I read the reviews and really didn't know if I should spend the money but I bit the bullet and did and I couldn't be happier. I actually bought them for my mom and I've been borrowing them all the time so I'm hoping for my own set for Christmas! :). They attach perfectly and don't snag. I find most yarns slide very easliy over the needles and the cords. I can't stand to use my old wood circular needles anymore. Great product I would recommend them to anyone.

5I like this setSep 29, 2009
I have an old Denise set I gotten when I was little (about 15 years ago). I have never had a problem with any yarn sticking or not sliding right. However, I'm rather a loose knitter naturally which may make some difference. I also do not think that the needle points where too sharp.

Over time, I have noticed that my connection on the right hand side became loose which I corrected with a small piece of tape. Part of that I believe is just due to how I hold and move my needles in my hand. I bend the cable toward the end and I move my right hand a lot while working so I was actually working the needle loose. It's easy to remove when you need to but I haven't had my needles come off since I started adding tape.

2Ok... until the cable un-twists from the needleAug 22, 2009
I wanted to like these needles. I love the flexibility plus the fact that you can make nearly infinitely long circular needles (I like to knit BIG afgahns so this is a plus!).

However, in terms of the needle itself, I don't like the cheap plastic feel. I got used to it but still preferred my 60" Addi Turbo Circular Knitting Needles or Harmony Wooden needles (this was before I discovered my beloved Lantern Moon Ebony Circular Destiny Knitting Needles, Size US 5 (3.75 mm) 32" (81 cm)!). I like the feel of the cable itself -- it is not too stiff or too "limp".

However, what made me really ditch these is when I realized that about halfway through a row of 300 stitches, the cable "un-twisted" and separated from the needle -- causing me to drop a lot of stitches and basically rendering months of work worthless. I realize frogging (ripping) is an inevitable part of knitting. However, to have to frog because of a needle malfunction is infuriating -- particularly when it took me so long to get to that point in the first place.

I had a similar issue with Harmony needles so at this point, I will only used "fixed" needles. It is worth the extra money for the peace of mind of knowing that my work isn't going to waste.

5Good quality and a pleasure to use!Aug 11, 2009
I did a fair amount of research on various interchangeable knitting needles before I bought these, and the Denise interchangeable system is even better than I expected. The mechanism 'snaps' together very securely and after almost a month of daily use has not come undone once (even when using two connected cables). The points are excellent (neither too blunt nor so sharp that they split the yarn), and the material is harder than conventional plastic needles so the yarn moves along them easily. I have also already found the idea of using the extra cables as stitch holders very helpful, as their flexiblity can be a real plus over stiff metal stitch holders. In fact, I like them so much that I am planning to knit my next project (a vest) using them, even though straight needles are called for - I'm sold!

5Great buyJun 13, 2009
These are the smoothest silkiest feeling needles. My yarn slides on and off each stitch with the greatest of ease. Great buy.
