Certainly a great help for creating beautiful quilts! The software is easy to use with video clips to help in any part of the designing process.
If you want to get full benefit of the software...go through the lessons!! It won't take long, I promise. You'll get to a comfort level quickly and will be able to navigate effortlessly through the program.

I love this product and the 'lessons' that come with the software are not only helpful, but fun as well. I plan to continue with my EQ upgrades whenever they come out and are available. This product is just absolutely a must for quilters. I am new to quilting and my biggest problem is trying to decide what colors work well together and which placement provides optimum eye pleasure. This software solves all of those issues. There is a broad range of fabrics and colors, blocks, and layout options to help you produce the quilt you desire.

I purchased this software as an upgrade from my EQ5. I had only one problem installing which had more to do with using Windows 7 than anything else. I simply went to the forum on the Electric Quilt website and read through until I found the answer, and I did. I love this program. I am not a computer whiz, but this program is simple to use and has unlimited possibilities with creating quilt designs. That is what I love about it. The only thing I found as a drawback was I couldn't upgrade from EQ5 to EQ7. In order to go right to EQ7, I would have had to buy the entire program again which was kind of pricey. The upgrade is less expensive but you have to upgrade to 6 then to 7.

"Frustrated in Oregon"
I love this product but was disappointed with the seller! I ordered and included "expedited mailing". I received notice that item was shipped and would be received in 4-6 days. Well, 9 days later and a couple emails to Amazon it was discovered that the seller had made a mistake and sent the order to someone in Colorado instead of me in Oregon!! And I desperately needed the software for a class that had ALREADY STARTED!! My order finally arrived about 14 days after placing the order...the seller did refund my shipping costs but that still did not compensate for the fact that I did not have my product when I really needed it! SO MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW UP EARLIER FOR A LATE SHIPPING!
