Wrights Limited Edition Pink Sidewinder Bobbin Winder with Scissors and Tape Measure
This is a handy little appliance that lets you wind up bobbins without using your sewing machine. My sewing maching is in storage in a guest room most of the time. I can prepare bobbins for each project before dragging out the sewing machine. I have also given one to my aunt, which she will share with my cousin, who has a 50 year + old sewing machine, and winding up bobbins using that machine is very difficult.

Very light weight. I have trouble with the unit slipping around toward it's cord when in use. I have it plugged in directly below where it sits. I also have to hold onto the spool of thread to keep it from jumping around. The bobbin has a tendency to wind unevenly so this is another thing to watch. I'm really don't think it is that much help for $40. I will stick to winding 3 bobbins the old fashioned way before I start a project.

I was not impressed with the bobbin winder my husband ordered for me for my birthday. It was very cheaply made. The scissors that came with it were less in quality than what a small child would receive--like something out of a Cracker Jack box. It was an embarrassment. You have to hold down the button until the bobbin is full. The pink plastic box is just plain cheap thin plastic that would break in an instant, the whole thing has no quality to it. For the marked up price he paid plus the shipping, it wasn't even worth $3.00. For the experienced sewer that I am, it was an embarrassment to receive and I won't show it to any of my colleagues. I should have sent it back. This was a rip-off.

Cheaper than the Simplicity model and works great. A nice portable little machine that winds a bobbin pretty quickly. I wish I'd gotten one of these a long time ago.
