comfortable in your handSep 21, 2009
By L. Luetger This is a really comfortable tool to use. It fits the hand better than a single needle and has multiple needles for faster felting. The needles are for fine or detail work and leave a nice finished surface. I use my Clover Pen all the time on all my needle felted item. The only thing I would change is the cap. It should fit on the wrong end for storage when you are using the tool. Mine doesn't. But I wouldn't let that stop anyone from trying this handy tool.

Needle Felting UpgradedJul 09, 2009
By B. Rackley

Nifty needle holder and needles always in a safty carrier. I found the shape and the ease of selecting different sizes of felting needles to be easy on the hands. I would recommend this item for speciality and small areas to be felted. Great to use with mokds, floral roses are easy to attach with this needle. Easy on the hands. Sierra

Get it if you want it to breakNov 13, 2010
By krismoon Although this style of felting tool is ideal, it's not very strong. The needles are long, which means if you even gently felt at an angle, they break. This happened to me the very first time I was using this felter - I gently pushed down at a very slight angle and ALL THREE of the needles broke at once. It was such a disappointment I just sat there and looked at for 10 minutes, hoping it would just magically meld back together again. No such luck.

The perfect pen for felting.Jan 14, 2012
By citizen fact checker I use the shorter length of this felting pen and keep all three needles in the pen. It adjusts to two lengths, but I think the longer length of the needles would tend to break too easily -- as has already happened to one reviewer. The pen is perfect for my needs: I knit or crochet small, basket-shaped Christmas tree ornaments with 100% wool, bulky yarn in red or green and felt them in the hot water cycle of my washing machine. After they have dried in the dryer, I pull short lengths of wool roving and use the pen-style felting tool to "poke" the bits of roving into the outside of the small baskets. They add a nice design. The pen is great for that.
Occasionally I cut out a little pink heart of 100% wool felt and use the felting pen to poke one into/onto the outside of a basket. The baskets are great give-aways during the holidays and can also be donated to helping-organizations to help raise money during any time of the year, depending on the colors of the baskets. For example, pastel colors for tiny Easter baskets, shamrock green for St Patrick's day, bright orange for Thanksgiving, etc. They are also great items to sell at crafts fairs -- all with the help of our friendly felting pen.

Great tool!Dec 03, 2010
By Christy H I have just started learning to do needle felting, and have found this tool to be very comfortable to use. You can use 1, 2, or 3 needles in it, which gives a lot of flexibility. Another reviewer wished the lid could be put on the end when using the pen -- but I found it easy to put it on the end while using the needles. Great tool!!
