This item does not work. I was truly disappointed. It does not hold the fabric taut, and the wood flaked all over my sewing project. Save your self the time and money!

Very disappointing product. It claims that the fabric, once inserted, is taut and ready for stitch. IT IS NOT!!!! The only part of the fabric that remains taut are the sides (vertical tension). The center of the fabric is extremely loose. No matter how tight you roll the fabric on each dowel the center will always remain loose. After doing some research on the internet I discovered that you need separate side pieces to achieve horizontal tension. Thus far, I have not found a source for these side pieces. Save yourself some money and stick with traditional round hoop.
