"vintage rose"
I was a little dissapointed when I first received this item, but them I started working on it and now and very please to see it take form. I was dissapointed because I really didnt read that this was counted cross stitch, the canvas is completely blank obviously verses stamped cross stitch, I was a little intimidated, hesitant to start, almost sent it back, but now I'm glad I didn't, with a little patience my work looks beautiful. I would recommend this to any one but only if you are really into counted cross stitch or want to be adventurous and start something new.....

ALL of Janlynn's four seasons counted cross stitch samplers are beautiful. They come with the floss and they are already organized for you. They are a good size. I started with the Autumn one for my granddaugther then I knew I had to own the other three "seasons". They are like works of art!!! Amazon has the best prices too!

I just received this sampler. Be aware that you will have some preparation time, because not all of the floss colors are separated onto the cards. I received the extra card, but had to sort the floss myself (it was not difficult). I also took time to write the floss number and the symbol that represents it next to each color, and I find it was worth the extra time! There are 40 colors included with this kit. Because the picture is so large, I choose to use a PVC pipe-type stretcher frame while working it. Hopefully that will help me keep it clean. I anticipate this will take at least a year, depending on how long I stay dedicted to stitching it. I also ordered "Spring", and I intend to order "Summer" and "Autumn". It will be great to be able to switch the pictures according to the season. My mom is 69 years old, and she has asked me for this set for her 90th birthday. :)
