Easy to make & adorableJun 02, 2009

I made this as a sleepover bag for my 9-year-old daughter a few days ago and we both love it. The instructions are simple and the bag is easy to make. I omitted the bottle pocket since it's not a diaper bag for us and also omitted the cell phone pocket. I made this in probably 3-4 hours. The bag is quite large- definitely not an everyday diaper bag that I would've used when my kids were babies.

i made this bag in less than a day. it might have been longer if i decided to put the pockets in. i hate pockets and especially the cell phone pocket on the outside. i use this as an everyday purse. also i added a wood button thats tooth like with a loop sewn into the seam. im not into the Velcro. ill try to upload a pic so everyone can see what i mean. other than that its a breeze compared to the madison bag.

Great pattern--fun project to makeJan 15, 2011
By Stephanie Peterson I have made 7 of these bags now. They are really fun to make. I think the pattern is very well written, and the construction process used is not too difficult. Even the zipper is not difficult to install (and I am sort of scared of zippers). The finished product is very professional looking. I gave my mom a set of these for Christmas, and she commented on how professional looking they were.
I will say, when I first read some of the steps, they didn't make sense. But if you just do what the instructions say, you'll do fine. The more I made them, the more sense the instructions made. You'll probably want to make more than one if you try these. They're sort of addicting, I think!
I blogged a more in depth review, including photos of the bags I made if you'd like to see it: [...]

Great Diaper BagAug 13, 2010
By Erika A. Theising This is a terrific diaper bag. I had to make the cell phone pocket larger to accomidate my phone and I also added an additional pocket on the outside for my keys which I have found very convenient. I did not put the bottle pockets on the outside as there is more than enough storage room on the inside for sippy cups, bottles, and everything else you cart around for your kids! I get tons of compliments on it and have several friends request that I make them one.
Stylish Diaper BagOct 12, 2010
By D. Clark I made this for a young mom from my church and she was delighted with the bag. She has three children and she could get everything in that bag. The large opening on the top was terrific since you can see what is in there instead of fishing around for it. Also goes together very quickly. I am making one for myself as a beach bag. Terrific product.
