3Sweet Harmony BagJan 12, 2011

I am an avid sewer and made this purse for a friend. It was ok, but not great. I think her other patterns are much cuter. As always with Amy Butler's patterns, it was an easy pattern to read. Excepting this time for the zipper placement part on the inside pocket. I found that Amy's directions on this part didn't match up at all and I ended up doing my own thing.
Overall, this is a cute bag and my friend enjoyed it, but I think it looks too much like a diaper bag or a bible case. Not exactly 2 images I would want for my purses to look like.
I also found that the size of cording used for the piping was impossible to find so I substituted it for a piping about 3/8" wide.

I've made this purse 3 times since buying the pattern a month ago. It's excellent for gifts and it's very functional.
